Inspektor SCADA
A cloud monitoring and control system for automation controllers: up to 300 channels per device, failure alerts, and remote troubleshooting.
Context
Industrial automation networks at large enterprises and utility facilities consist of hundreds of devices and sensors. When a node fails, pinpointing exactly which one and why — without a dedicated tool — is time-consuming and error-prone.
Problem
A hardware-software system that integrates into any IT or engineering communications network, gives real-time visibility into the state of all nodes, alerts on failures and allows remote remediation of certain fault types.
Architecture
Inspektor SCADA is a cloud monitoring platform supporting up to 300 channels per controller. It continuously tracks device state; on a critical event it automatically alerts the operator and identifies the exact location of the faulty node. For a subset of fault types, remote remediation is available without a site visit.
Integrations
Connects to existing web, IT and engineering communications systems; supports industrial protocols; cloud backend with persistent telemetry storage.
Results
Fault detection and diagnosis time dropped significantly compared with manual inspection rounds; a portion of incidents are resolved remotely, eliminating engineer call-outs. The system scales from a handful of devices to large industrial networks.
